Liverpool is “no longer the same” after Philippe Coutinho’s transfer to Barcelona, says the Brazilian’s former Reds team-mate Roberto Firmino.
Coutinho finally completed his £142million move to the Catalan side on Monday following a protracted saga stretching back to last summer, report the Liverpool Echo.
The move came after Liverpool reluctantly agreed to let him have his dream move, but it means Coutinho and Firmino will no longer be club team-mates after striking up a great understanding both on and off the pitch.
Firmino made Coutinho his best man when he married his long-term girlfriend Larissa Peereira in Maceio in Brazil last summer. Their families were often seen out socialising together in Liverpool.

Firmino admits the 25-year-old will be sorely missed.
“Liverpool is no longer the same without you my magical brother,” Firmino posted on Facebook.
